In this episode of Queer From The Other Side we go in depth about alien encounters and UFO experiences with UFO researcher and author, Keith Thompson. We talked about UFO encounters, spiritual experiences, abduction stories, and the queer dimension of the phenomenon. Keith shared insights from his book "The UFO Paradox" and emphasized the importance of being open to different beliefs and perspectives. We also touched on the intersection of science, religion, and personal experiences in understanding UFOs. Keith highlighted the metaphoric nature of UFO encounters as a call from the cosmos and the potential spiritual aspect of these experiences. We explored the idea of creating hybrids and the influence of consciousness in alien encounters. The conversation also delved into the need for inclusivity and acceptance in discussing UFO phenomena from a queer perspective.

Keith Thompson is an author, independent journalist, talk radio host, former TV talk show host, and former U.S. Senate staff member. His articles have appeared in the New York Times, Esquire, San Francisco Chronicle, Idaho Statesman, and the Pacific Sun. The author of Angels and Aliens and Leaving the Left, he lives in northwest Florida. The UFO phenomenon is decidedly real, yet its key features point beyond what the familiar debate has led many to expect. The full body of UFO evidence includes paranormal aspects that cut across the divide separating the objective (or “outside”) world and the subjective (or “inner” world). Keith chronicles the phenomenon as an invitation, often received more like a subpoena, to recognize and skillfully engage this larger realm of being. Inquiring into what UFOs are requires willingness to examine who we are, the farther reaches of our own nature and potentials as human beings.
